Abstract:

The adsorption of pyrazolone(HPMSP), Calix[4]-arene,Cu and Cs, on carbon nanotube(CNT) atroom temperature has been investigated using spectroscopy.Uv spectroscopy indicated that pyrazolone molecules adsorbed on carbon nanotube at roomtemperature in compared calix[4]- arene molecules adsorbed approximately same. The amount ofpyrazolone(HPMSP) adsorb 3.8. le mol/g and amount calix[4]-arene adsorbed 1.3 x10-5mol/g.Thephysisorption of such an organic molecules is an example of nano covalent functionalization involvingrc-11 stacking interactions and corresponding to weak binding energy. The most favourable adsorptionsite is one type C-C bond. Atomic adsorption shown carbon nanotube has capability and a highadsorption efficiency for adsorption of Cu(II) and Cs from of water.

Adsorption of Carbon Monoxide on a (6, 6) Armchair Carbon Nanotube: Ab initio Study

Perhaps the more interesting nanostructures with large application potential, from transistors to probes, are carbon nanotubes. One of the most widely uses of these nanostructures are their applications as gas detector, which is an important application in the field se of environmental technologies. The present work studies the adsorption of carbon monoxide on a (6, 6) armchair carbon nanotube ...

Effects of oxygen adsorption on carbon nanotube field emitters

Effects of oxygen adsorption on the field emission of carbon nanotubes are studied through first-principles calculations. Calculated emission currents are significantly enhanced when oxygen is adsorbed at the tip and the underlying physics is explained in terms of the change in the electronic structure by oxidation and the local field increase at the adsorption site. The issue of the current de...

Modeling of the adsorption kinetics of Basic Red 46 on single-walled carbon nanotube and carboxylate group functionalized single-walled carbon nanotube

The present study was carried out to investigate the potential of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNTs) and carboxylate group functionalized single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT-COOH) as alternative adsorbents for the removal of Basic Red 46 (BR 46) from contaminated water by using batch adsorption studies. Effects of some key operating parameters such as pH, ionic strength and contact time on...
